Data-Driven Marketing is at the core of what we do at MWI Direct. It’s what makes a marketing effort successful. But how do we leverage data when we put together a campaign? Here are some tips on how we use data:
Experimentality is Important, Following Up is More So
When running a campaign, especially a digital one, trying new things is important. Whether it’s trying different keywords in paid advertising, a new post type on Facebook, or different email strategy. However, these efforts will be for nothing if you don’t follow up and see how this new strategy actually did. This can be a great way to find things that you may not have considered. Again, your reaction must be data-driven. If it doesn’t work, cut it out.
Define your Goals
What are you trying to accomplish with this campaign? Expand your audience? Get leads for your sales team? Increase engagement with your brand? Having a clear goal helps you decide who you should target and how. This is at the very heart of data-driven marketing.
Actually Test Your Currently-Used Platforms
While experimenting is important for data-driven marketing, you shouldn’t chase every trend that’s out there feverishly. It’s more important to make sure that what you are doing currently is working well before moving on to new things (generally.)
