We are pleased to introduce Kevin Hart, Vice President of Digital Marketing. He’s been with MWI for almost 6 years.
What aspect of your job do you enjoy most?
Learning to overcome different challenges. Things will always come up that are out of your control. You can either “Fold” or “Figure it Out”.
What’s the best thing that’s happened to you since you started working with MWI?
My wife and I welcomed 2 amazing little girls, Elliana (3) and Ivy (9 months)!
What do you wish other people knew about MWI?
How great the people are here! We have some of the best people working at MWI, many who have been here for a very long time.
How has MWI helped you in your career development?
With this being my second time at MWI, I have been able to grow within the company and learn along the way. I started out in estimating and then transitioned into a fulfillment role and then to sales. I most recently helped launch our digital division called MWI Digital.
What do you do when you aren’t working?
My family and I love to travel. In the last few years we have been to France, Italy, Amsterdam, Bahamas, and Hawaii. We’re already planning our next trip. If we are not jet-setting, I enjoy golf, Husker games, going to the gym, trying out new restaurants, and hanging out with family and friends.
Tell us a bit about your family.
My wife (Morgan) and I will celebrate our 5 year anniversary in July. We have 2 beautiful daughters, Elliana and Ivy.
How do you balance your career at MWI and family?
MWI has a great work-life balance. I work in Lincoln but live in Omaha (Bennington) so often times need to leave early to pick up the girls from daycare. With my job, I can really work from anywhere so I usually have my laptop with me to log back in at home when needed.
Tell us something most people don’t know about you…
I spent a year traveling in Australia with a good friend. I’m also a 3-time Dancing with the Stars – OF LINCOLN Champion.
Before MWI, what was the most interesting job you’ve ever had?
I spent a year working at Google in San Francisco as a contractor in their marketing department. That was a great experience!
Do you have a favorite newspaper, publication, or blog?
Always up for a good book recommendation (or movie).
What’s the most important thing you’ve learned in the last five years?
Life moves fast, enjoy the moments!
